Hispanic Heritage Month

Sept. 24, 2014 7:00PM - Speaker: Sonia Nazario (Special Collections Library - Rm 271)  
In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, the Multicultural Services and Programs Office along with several campus partners are hosting Sonia Nazario, the Pulitzer Prize-winning author of "Enrique's Journey," the story of a Honduran boy's struggle to find his mother in the U.S. A book signing will be available after her lecture. Oct. 8, 2014 7:00PM - Movie Screening: Cesar Chavez (Tate Student Center Theatre)
Chronicling the birth of a modern American movement, "Cesar Chavez" tells the story of the famed civil rights leader and labor organizer torn between his duties as a husband and father and his commitment to securing a living wage for farm workers.  Admission is free.  For more information, click here.
