Walk a Mile in Her Shoes

August 23, 2014 - 5 to 7 pm

Walk a Mile in Her Shoes: The International Men's March to Stop Rape, Sexual Assault & Gender Violence® is an opportunity for men to raise awareness in their community about sexual violence by literally walking a mile in women's high-heeled shoes.  The goal of the Walk a Mile in Her Shoes® UGA event is to provide an opportunity for the campus community to join together and demonstrate solidarity for efforts to end sexual violence. This event is open to all UGA community members including students, faculty and staff.

The UGA Walk a Mile in Her Shoes® event will start at the Arch on Broad Street and conclude at Myers Quad. There is NO cost to participate but event t-shirts will be available for purchase online and the day of the event with proceeds benefiting The Cottage Sexual Assault Center.  Men participating in the walk will need to bring their own high heel shoes! Organizations are encouraged to participate in a group with an identifying sign or banner. Or you can walk individually!
